Measure with a dial gaugeexcavating machineryCheck the clearance between the rotating shafts to assess the wear of the bearing raceway and steel balls.
preparation:
1. Check if the installation bolts of the slewing bearing are loose.
2. CheckrotationLubrication condition of bearings. Confirm that the bearing rotates smoothly and silently.
3. Use a magnetic gauge holder to install a dial gauge on the track bracket, as shown in the figure.
4. Align the upper rotating platform so that the boom is aligned with the track and facing the front idler.
5. Place the dial gauge in place so that the contact pin contacts the bottom surface of the outer raceway of the bearing.
6. The bucket should be an empty bucket
measure
1. Extend the forearm and flip the bucket in, keeping the height of the connecting pin of the bucket the same as the height of the foot pin at the lower end of the boom. Record the reading on the dial gauge (h1).
2. Lower the bucket to the ground and use the bucket to lift the front idler wheel to a distance of 0.5 meters (20 inches) from the ground. Record the reading of the dial gauge (h2)
3. Using the above data (h1h2), calculate the clearance (H) of the bearing as follows: H=h2-h1
