Special attention should be paid when repairing the electrical system of excavators, and the following rules must be followed
1. Cut off the power supply.
When disconnecting wires and connectors for repair or replacement of electrical components, be sure to first remove the negative terminal of the battery. If you forget to do so, it will cause damage to the wire harness, fuses, and fuses, and in some cases, fires may occur due to short circuits.
2. Precautions for connecting and disconnecting terminal connectors
1) When disassembling the wire harness, hold onto its connector and do not pull the wire harness itself. To separate the connector, the first step is to release the lock buckle. If a lock buckle is available
2) Waterproof connectors are waterproof, so if water enters this type of connector, it is not easy for water to drain out. When inspecting waterproof connectors, special attention should be paid to prevent water from entering the connectors. If water enters the connector, it can only be reconnected after the connector is completely dry.
3) Before connecting the terminal connector, check that the terminals are not bent or extended outward. In addition, most connectors are made of brass, and their terminals should be checked for rust.
4) When connecting terminal connectors with locking buckles, be sure to plug them together until you hear the locking buckle make a "click" sound.
3. Precautions for using a circuit tester
1) Before using the circuit tester, refer to the instructions in the circuit tester manual.
Then, adjust the circuit tester to be suitable for the object being measured, voltage range, and current electrode.
2) Before starting the connector test, check the number of connector terminals according to the circuit diagram
When the size of the connector is small and the size of the standard probe is too large to be used for testing, a thin sharpened all wire or a pin can be wrapped around the probe to make the test easier to conduct.
