How to check the circuit
1. Stop the engine. Turn the key switch to the ON position. Confirm that the AC generator indicator lights up.
2. Measure the voltage between the terminals of the AC generator. If the measured voltage is around 24V, it can be considered that the AC generator circuit is normal. If the measured voltage is low, the cause of the fault may be insufficient battery capacity or loose wire connectors. When the voltage is zero volts, the wire between the fuse box and the AC generator becomes loose or disconnected.
In addition, if the ground wire is broken, the AC generator cannot generate electricity.
3. Then, start the engine and measure the voltage emitted by the AC generator as it rotates.
As mentioned above, measure the voltage between the terminals next to the AC generator. If the voltage is around 28V, the AC generator is working normally. If the rated voltage is not generated, there may be some malfunction in the AC generator or voltage regulator.
