The excavator engine cannot start after stalling

A certain machineKobelco excavatorThe car experienced an inexplicable engine shutdown. According to the operator, the engine suddenly shut down around 11 pm on April 11th. After the oil pump continued to operate for about 20 minutes, the engine stalled again and triggered the K014 alarm, which could not be restarted.

Inspect the excavator according to the following method:

1. On site inspection, after powering on, the key switch was turned to "; START" Location, the machine cannot start
2. Based on past experience, first check the status of the filter element. The diesel filter, air filter, etc. are all normal
3. Check the SCV valve and turn on the power to check the sound. It was found that the SCV valve only made one sound and then stopped. It was thought to be a problem with the SCV valve, so the newly brought SCV valve was plugged into the plug of the car. The situation remains the same, ruling out the SCV valve issue
4. At this point, the personnel in the driver's cabin informed that the entire vehicle automatically shuts off after about 2 seconds of power on, suspecting that it may be a circuit problem
5. Check all fuses and find that one fuse is blown. After replacing it, start the engine and start it, but K014 alarm appears, thinking it is a fuse problem. However, after turning off the engine and restarting, it cannot be started again. Check all fuses and find that they are normal, confirming that it is not a fuse problem. According to K014 alarm, the content is: battery relay contact welding. Check the battery relay and no abnormalities were found. Forcefully holding down the battery relay with your hand and forcefully energizing it can start the engine, but there is an abnormal alarm for CUP communication data. The engine can only maintain the lowest speed and all movements are very slow. The electronic throttle cannot control the speed, and it is suspected that there is a problem with the electronic control part. After consulting with a senior technician, it was found that there was a car in Hangzhou that had an K014 alarm due to a problem with the fuse box assembly. Therefore, the fuse box was inspected, and after flipping it over, it was found that the large white plug on the far right had come off. After plugging the plug back in, the machine returned to normal. The root cause should be that the plug was not securely inserted at the factory.
