Oil pump assembly malfunction causes excavator to fail to start

① Confirm the actual machine. Check the operation of the starter motor. If the starter motor continues to rotate, fault code [G043] will be displayed (excavator&ECU two sensors disconnected)
② Checked the rotation sensor, connectors, and wiring, and no abnormalities were found.
③ After inspection and diagnosis by Hino Service, no abnormalities were found in the ECU related parts.
④ Hino suggested unplugging the SCV connector of the fuel supply pump and opening the output (high pressure) piping of the fuel supply pump. It was found that diesel did not output when the starter motor was rotating. → Determine if the fuel supply pump is faulty

After removing and replacing the oil supply pump in the warehouse, the machine will return to normal. Replace the fuel supply pump assembly. Retrieve accident products and conduct a root cause investigation.

As SCV is a reverse proportional valve, once the connector is unplugged, the maximum amount of diesel will be expelled from the fuel supply pump. Attention: When opening the high-pressure piping for investigation, place the machine for about 10 minutes after stopping, use Hino DX to confirm that there is no common rail pressure, and then open the piping.
